Update: Rachel Sussman

Spring ‘05 Hot Shot, Rachel Sussman, has a lot of things going on at the moment. She will be one of the featured photographers in the August edition of Group Show.
The aerial photograph above taken from Nagoya, Japan will also be on display for a period of time at Pierogi.
In September, Rachel will be participating in the Rider Project - a mobile art gallery in the back of a rented truck that will travel around NYC. She will have two giant landscapes on the outside of the truck. Definitely be on the lookout for the truck; it’s a great concept!
In the next issue of Artworld Digest, she will be a featured artist as well as a participant in their “Seed Project” that will be due out in October.
The Seed Project is a global environmental installation where people from all over the world will plant seeds. Digital images of the plants will be emailed to Artworld Digest. The pictures will be published together to from a “virtual field” as part of the next issue of the magazine. Artworld Digest is providing Wheatgrass Seeds because they are easy to plant both indoors and outdoors and don’t require a lot of light, however artists are allowed to plant what they would like and are given the freedom to plant the seeds how they want to.
Lastly, Rachel has been accepted for an artist’s residency at the Vermont Studio Center for the month of October. Congrats!

HI, Where can I get more information on the seed project? Unfortunately your link would not open for me. I may also be able to offer some free wheatgrass seed should anyone be interested.
