Time Stands Still: Extended Deadline for Summer Hey, Hot Shot!

Charlie Sober by Fall ‘06 HS winner Juliana Beasley
Yee Haw! Charlie over here looks pretty damn excited and you should be, too! You know why? Because us folks over here at the jb decided to give y’all some extra time by extending the submission deadline for the Summer ‘07 edition of Hey, Hot Shot! by one week!
That’s right, you heard me. ONE MORE WEEK! The new deadline is Tuesday, August 14th at 11 AM (EST). So mark your calendars, tell all your friends, and do a little jig because extended deadlines are radical.

I like these photos and all, but it seems like you’re very focused on the standardized contemporary portrait. Is that all we will see of the winners? Is this a reflection of your affection for your current exhibition? Just curious. Had I known I would have submitted some blank faced, quasi-surreal portraits of my own

I’m just clarifying that the photos I post here on the blog happen to be ones that interest me, as opposed to photos at the forefront of the competition. I am not on the panel, nor does the panel have anything to do with my posts, so I think general comments about the contest are misdirected. And as for your dislike of the photos that I’ve been posting, I’m sorry that we have different tastes. Thanks for reading the blog, though!

Sorry, didn’t mean any disprespect or to be mean spirited. I’ve just been stuck in my house sick and reading the blog in hopes that you will talk about my photos…lol. Of couse I’m not going to reveal my true identity here as I don’t want my stupid postings to effect your perception of the “real” me.
Blog on…your choices are beautiful and fun. I just be hate’n.
